At Santaluces High School Vince won the District Championship

Vince earned 1st All Area Football First Team Defense

In 1999, ranked among the top 25 HS senior football players in the United States. That year Santaluces Community High School was No. 1 in the county on defense, allowing less than 100 yards per game. "Vince was the top-rated lineman in Florida, 1999 All-Southern football team, All-America honors."

1999

Florida High School track athlete of the year. Vince won his first championship in shot put and the discus - Florida Class 4A state.

Vince set the high school record in the shot put with a throw of 68 feet.

In the discus event, he threw for 180 feet.

2000

Graduated Sanaluces High School and regarded as one of Florida's top three defensive linemen. USA TODAY Second-Team All-American SuperPrep All-American No. 10 defensive lineman nationally. Rated the No. 10 defensive lineman in the Southeast Region No. 7 overall prospect in Florida Super Southern 100 National Top 100 No. 2 defensive tackle in Florida on the Florida Times-Union Super 75 list National Blue Chip All-American nose tackle by recruiting analyst Max Emfinger...timed at 5.2 in the 40...made 88 tackles as a junior, while being double-teamed... Finished my senior season with 72 tackles, with 11 sacks.

Destiny Wilfork was born.

One of the happiest and saddest day of my life 1st Round Draft Pick, 21st overall. However, my parents never saw me reach the NFL. David Sr. died of kidney failure at 48 on June 2, 2002, after suffering from diabetes for many years. Barbara, 46, died Dec. 16, of complications following a stroke. Instead of going to New York for the NFL Draft, I decided to honor my parents and hold a draft viewing fundraiser This is when I started fundraising in my parents memory, The Vince Wilfork Foundation.

2004

Vince was a freshman at the University of Miami when he met his future wife. Bianca was working two jobs while raising her son D'Aundre. In 2004, Vince & Bianca finally made it official. The beautiful mother of their 3 children. Vince adopted D'Aundre Holmes-Wilfork and had two children together. A daughter Destiny Barbara Wilfork & son David Wilfork (both named in honor of Vince's parents).
